Plant Notes

| Last updated: July 2023 |

The botanical name of this low-lying herbaceous plant was indicated as Lindernia sessiliflora in the reference booklet "A Guide to the Wildflowers of Singapore" published by Singapore Science Centre back in 1985. However, the name Lindernia sessiliflora is the synonym of Craterostigma sessiliflorum. The pictures of Craterostigma sessiliflorum online seemed to be a different plant compared to the picture in the reference booklet. The correct identity of this plant should be Vandellia diffusa [1-2].
